Fabulous cakes

Students from Y11 have been trying out recipes to include in their "Staff cakes recipe book"
This week Te Huia and Te Rangi made 'Lyns Chocolate cake' - using a recipe supplied by Karren O'Carroll. This recipe is a family favorite and is used when there is a call for a quick birthday cake.


Mrs Tamarans had two students working to make a caramel swirl cake which looks impressive when served.

Students are in today making sandwiches, cakes and bread for different projects.

Delicious fruit tarts

Using the latest recipe from Taste magazine; We worked  to make the recipe from the back to create some wonderful mini fruit tarts. The pastry case has a custard filling, with summer fruit pieces scattered over the top.
